Minor injury in Chon Buri motorway trailer truck collision
A collision between two trailer trucks on a Chon Buri motorway has left one driver with minor injuries. The incident took place at 10.16pm on Tuesday.
The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Centre received a report of the collision, which occurred in the Takhian Tia subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri province. Rescue and fire services quickly arrived at the scene.
One of the involved vehicles, a trailer truck carrying a container, was found severely damaged. The truck’s cab had detached, and its gas tank was dislodged. The driver managed to crawl out of the wreckage, receiving first aid from rescue personnel before being transported to a hospital. His injuries were reported to be minor, and his identity was not disclosed to the press.
The other vehicle, another 18-wheeler transporting plastic pellets, also suffered damage. Its driver, Utsa Wannuea, was present at the scene and ready to provide a statement to the police. He was not injured in the incident.
Utsa explained that he was driving normally when his truck suddenly struck the cab of another truck, which was parked on the roadside. Following the collision, he immediately pulled over and called the police and emergency services for assistance.
Police launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and establish fault, reported Pattaya News.
In related news, a lorry carrying palm oil waste experienced brake failure crashed into a car, dragged it for 100 metres, and collided with a pickup truck, causing severe damage. Rescue teams extracted two people from the wreckage and transported them to the hospital.
In other news, a lorry brake failure led to a massive six-vehicle collision in Chon Buri. The initial collision with a ten-wheeler truck ultimately led to a domino effect involving six other vehicles, resulting in one injured driver.
Officers from Chon Buri City Police Station and the Thammarat Foundation rescue team responded to the scene on Ban Bueng-Chon Buri Road at the bypass intersection in Nong Ree, Chon Buri City. They found a white Isuzu lorry that had rear-ended a ten-wheeler Hino truck.
