Thai tea brand launches bird’s nest drink for Chinese tourists
Napit Sasiwimolkul, the marketing director of Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd., highlighted the continued focus on health among consumers. According to Eastern beliefs, particularly in China, bird’s nest is considered to have cooling properties.
With Thailand’s tourism sector showing signs of recovery, data from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports reveals that 35,545,714 international tourists visited the country in 2024, including 6,733,162 Chinese tourists. This trend presents an opportunity for growth within the Chinese tourist market.
To capitalise on this, the company has collaborated with ChaTraMue, Thailand’s leading tea brand favoured by tourists, to launch a new beverage, Fragrant Osmanthus Oolong Tea with Real Bird’s Nest. This product is targeted at Chinese tourists visiting Thailand during the Chinese New Year festival.
This collaboration also reinforces the company’s position as a leader in the bird’s nest beverage market. By combining the aroma of high-quality oolong tea from ChaTraMue with the unique texture of meticulously selected white bird’s nest, the company aims to cater to health-conscious individuals who enjoy tea and seek the delicate texture of bird’s nest.
Prownarin Ruangritdech, managing director of Tipthani Co., Ltd. (ChaTraMue), stated that the BRAND’S Bird’s Nest x ChaTraMue collaboration is a strategic move to offer new experiences to both Thai customers and international tourists.
The new product, Fragrant Osmanthus Oolong Tea with Real Bird’s Nest, is crafted with carefully selected oolong tea leaves, combined with the distinctively fragrant osmanthus flowers, creating a golden-yellow tea with a rich taste and a harmonious aroma.
This special menu item is available at 39 ChaTraMue outlets across the country, including locations such as Suvarnabhumi Airport, King Power Rangnam, Siam Paragon, Yaowarat, ICONSIAM, Terminal 21 Pattaya, Central Si Racha, Central Chanthaburi, Central Phuket, Central Hat Yai, Central Festival Chiang Mai, and The Mall Korat, reported KhaoSod.
To celebrate Chinese New Year, a special promotion offers the Fragrant Osmanthus Oolong Tea with Real Bird’s Nest at a discounted price of 139 baht, reduced from the regular price of 195 baht.
Customers will receive a complimentary Chinese New Year Lucky Bag, a premium red fabric bag with gold print with each purchase. This promotion runs from January 20 to February 9 while stocks last.
