Teen big bike rider seriously injured in Sattahip crash
A teenage motorcycle rider today crashed into a sedan in Sattahip, Chon Buri, resulting in serious injuries, prompting an immediate dispatch of rescue teams.
The Sawang Boriboon Rojana Thammasathan Sattahip Foundation reported the accident on Sukhumvit Road, heading towards Sattahip in the Na Jomtien sub-district. Rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene at 7.30am today, July 10.
Upon arrival, rescuers encountered a large crowd surrounding the accident site. On the road, a black 650cc Honda motorcycle was found on its side with significant front-end damage. The rider, an 18 year old, identified only as P due to his age, was discovered lying semi-conscious on the median strip. Rescue workers administered initial first aid before rushing him to a nearby hospital.
Approximately 30 metres from the motorcycle, a white Mitsubishi car was located with substantial rear-end damage on the driver’s side. The car’s driver, who remained at the scene to provide a statement to the police, was uninjured.
Eyewitnesses reported that the big bike was speeding in the right lane before the rider lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the back of the car, which was also driving in the same lane. The impact resulted in severe injuries to the motorcycle rider.
Police are currently examining CCTV footage from the area to ascertain the precise cause of the accident and to determine responsibility, reported Pattaya News.
