Additional blood is still required, particularly A-negative, for the treatment of the four rescuers. Those who wish to donate can contact the hospital at 094-101-4403.

The identities and specific conditions of the injured have not been disclosed. A female colleague tragically lost her life in the accident.

All five individuals were part of the Nonthaburi Rescue Unit stationed at Charoen Nakhon checkpoint. Their pickup truck collided with a roadside tree in Sam Ngam district, Phichit while returning from Chiang Rai to their base on Sunday, reported Bangkok Post.

Police investigators have suggested that the driver might have fallen asleep at the wheel, likely due to exhaustion from their efforts to assist flood victims in Mae Sai.
