Girl, 11, rescued after abduction, abuse by teenage kidnapper
An 11 year old girl was reportedly abducted and assaulted by a 16 year old male acquaintance she met on Facebook, sparking a desperate search by her mother and police. The girl was eventually rescued, safe but shaken, after enduring five days of captivity.
The distressing incident began when the girl’s mother reported her daughter missing to the Pavena Hongsakul Foundation for Children and Women. The mother revealed that her daughter had been living with her father and grandmother in Bangkok’s Nong Chok area since her separation from her former spouse.
The teenager whom she met online, referred to as Aeh, had allegedly subjected her to sexual assault, physical harm, and threats with a firearm, warning that he would kill both her and her mother if she attempted to escape.
In a plea for help, she managed to send her location from Khlong Ha, Pathum Thani province. Alarmed for her daughter’s safety, her mother urgently sought assistance from the Pavena Foundation.
Upon receiving the report, Pavena Hongsakul, the foundation’s director, confirmed the girl’s location and collaborated with Police Colonel Rungrawee Sukang from Khlong Ha Police Station. Ekaphap Hongsakul, director of the foundation, was tasked with accompanying the mother to file a police report.
The police swiftly mobilised a team to rescue the girl.
The young suspect was taken into custody for questioning and will face legal proceedings according to the law, coordinated by Police Colonel Rungrawee and Police Colonel Chatuphumi Mudsaken from Nong Chok Police Station.
After the successful rescue, the mother expressed overwhelming gratitude, unable to hold back tears as she embraced her daughter. She recounted her daughter’s story of feeling unhappy and being punished while living with her father and grandmother.
The lure of the boy, who posed as a wealthy adult offering financial support and education, led her daughter to trust and meet him, only to be kidnapped and mistreated, reported KhaoSod.
