We Are The World: A global health platform launched to bridge chronic illness and mental health gaps

A new Asia-based global health initiative has launched in Bangkok, aiming to tackle chronic diseases, mental health gaps, and confusion around medical information by combining traditional and modern healthcare systems.
The nonprofit platform, called We Are the World, seeks to serve over 1 billion people with chronic illnesses and 20 million new cancer patients each year.
Its goal is to break down medical information barriers, so everyone can access trusted health support by combining Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), biotech, pharmaceuticals, and artificial intelligence (AI).
“We’ve experienced firsthand the confusion and struggle within the healthcare system,” said the platform’s co-founders, a couple aged 65 and 60. “That experience inspired us to break down barriers. We believe integrating Eastern and Western wisdom is key to bringing hope.”
The launch event, held in Bangkok on October 10, was backed by an alliance of regional supporters including the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau, along with former Bangkok Governor Dr Bitchit and local family offices.
We Are the World aims to provide a transparent, professional health platform by connecting patients to verified experts and continuously sharing cutting-edge health information, the latest clinical technologies, and practical support to empower patients and improve recovery confidence.
The project focuses on three core pillars:
- Oncology & chronic diseases: Including cancer, diabetes, kidney disease, Parkinson’s, and more.
- Autism & mental health: Offering updated clinical information for families.
- Longevity & wellness: Covering anti-ageing, sleep, and overall chronic disease management.
According to the co-founders:
“Our journey through darkness inspired us to light a path for others. We held each other’s hands through the most uncertain medical journeys, moving between hospitals and clinics, shadowed by anxiety and shattered hopes.
“But we did not give up. Our turning point came from the integration of biotech, TCM, and advanced medicine, fields once on the margins became our source of light.
“That’s why we co-founded We Are the World. We knew only a top-tier nonprofit Asian health platform could bring together the best resources to ignite a lasting flame for those still walking in darkness. Here, you are never alone, with every breath, we stand with you.”
We Are the World will host a major health congress in Bangkok from November 9 to 11 at the QSNCC International Convention Centre, running daily from 10am to 6pm. The event will feature a lineup of world-renowned medical experts presenting the latest clinical research on chronic illnesses, autism, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases.
