Foreigner’s body found near Patong Beach, police investigate

Police are scrambling to identify the body of a foreign man found floating in the water south of Patong Beach early this morning.

Officers were alerted to the scene, located in front of a hotel on Muen Ngern Road, at 9.10am, today, October 10, after a guest spotted the body and raised the alarm.

A team from the police force, accompanied by personnel from the Kusoldharm Foundation, arrived promptly to find the man face down in the water, clad only in shorts. Rescue workers worked diligently to recover the body, which was then transported to Patong Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Initial reports indicate that hotel staff were the first to notice the body after it was seen floating near the shore, prompting an immediate response from emergency services. Police are now actively working to identify the man and are looking into any missing person reports in the area that could provide leads.
