A devastating house fire tragically claimed the lives of a young boy and two dogs, leaving the community in shock. The blaze occurred while the boy’s parents were out shopping, resulting in the complete destruction of the family home.
Police Lieutenant Kittiphong Sihabut, from the Raboh Phai Police Station in Prachinburi province, received the report of a house fire in the Nong Rong area of Sri Maha Phot district. Upon receiving the alert, the officer coordinated with the local fire department to dispatch fire engines to the scene.
Despite efforts to control the blaze, strong winds exacerbated the situation, causing the single-storey concrete house to be engulfed in flames rapidly. The incident is believed to have been caused by an electrical short circuit.
The tragic incident resulted in the death of 14 year old Natthaphon, who was found amidst the charred remains. The fire not only consumed the entire house but also destroyed three motorcycles and claimed the lives of two family dogs.
The boy’s father, 44 year old Sitthiphon describes the ordeal as all happening so quickly. He recounted that he and his wife had left home early to buy groceries at the market, which is a short drive from their residence, leaving their son alone at home.
The family was informed of the fire only after a neighbour called, alerting them to the unfolding tragedy. By the time they arrived, the house was almost entirely consumed by flames.
An electrical malfunction is suspected to have sparked the fire, leading to the rapid escalation that ultimately destroyed their home. The investigation into the precise cause of the fire is ongoing, with officials working to determine the exact sequence of events, reported KhaoSod.
