The arrest team was led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Phikanet Triemkoetsap from the Highway Police Division. They successfully captured Apichon, who had been evading arrest for over a decade.

Apichon faced charges related to the murder and attempted murder of others, carrying a weapon (knife) in public without justifiable reason, and possessing firearms and ammunition without a permit.

The events unfolded on September 20, 2014, when Apichon allegedly stabbed Paniti Boonmuang, a dental officer at the U-Tapao Health Promotion Hospital in Manorom district, during a concert by the band Carabao at a well-known entertainment venue in Chai Nat City.

Following the incident, Apichon fled, prompting an extensive search by law enforcement.
