Police investigator Nathakorn Meenim coordinated with the Siam Ruam Jai Poo In Foundation’s diving team to assist in the search operation.

The search site, a canal in the village, was narrow yet had overflowing banks and a strong current due to continuous rainfall. The divers spent over two hours scouring the canal from the house to the point where they ultimately discovered the child’s body. Tragically, the boy had been swept away by the current.

From the investigations, it was revealed that the mother had left the house while the child was sleeping to buy groceries, leaving him alone.

Upon her return, she noticed her child was missing and searched for him without success. She then alerted rescue teams, prompting the search which led to the discovery of the child’s body.

Initial investigations suggest that the child, left unsupervised, might have wandered to the edge of the canal, where the water level was high and the current was swift. It is presumed that he accidentally fell into the canal, leading to his unfortunate demise, reported KhaoSod.
