Woman caught dumping rubbish on Shropshire street

CCTV shows nine trips dumping rubbish in Telford estate

A woman was caught on CCTV making nine trips to dump rubbish on a residential street in Shropshire. The footage shows her repeatedly discarding items at a site in the Malinslee estate in Telford. The dumped items include a fridge, mattress, old bicycle, cardboard boxes, and a bed frame.

Wearing sunglasses as a disguise, she casually left old household items along a driveway beside a building on private land. Telford and Wrekin Council released the footage to identify the middle-aged woman after the incident on 7 August.

A council spokesperson stated: “During nine separate trips, a fridge, mattress, cardboard boxes, a bed frame, highchair, baby walker, bicycle, and other various items were dumped on private land. Do you know who the woman is in this footage?”

After sharing the appeal on social media, residents expressed outrage at her actions. One person commented: “This is down right disgusting. I do hope they are recognised, fined heavily, and all the items thrown back on their property where it came from.”

Another resident added: “I’m sure someone must know her. Hope she gets a massive fine and is made to take the stuff back to wherever she got it from.” A third commenter pointed out: “If they can drive there why not the tip!”
