Meanwhile, on Soi Paniadchang 8, chaos ensued as 20 drug users and four crafty dealers were arrested, with a trove of drug paraphernalia seized in the process, revealed a police spokesperson, condemning the significant health risks lurking within these dodgy dens.

It’s not the first arrest for illegal drugs this week by Pattaya police. They arrested Lee Chun Sam, a South Korean national. The apprehension of the 51 year old was announced by Pattaya Police Major General Chairit Anurit on Wednesday, February 12, at 6pm. He was wanted under an Interpol red notice for involvement in transnational drug smuggling.

His arrest occurred at a luxury condominium on the eighth floor of Soi Thepprasit 9 in Jomtien. The Chon Buri Immigration Police had identified his presence in the Jomtien area and devised a plan to detain him.
