A tragic incident unfolded early today when a woman fell to her death from the fourth floor of a residential building in Bangkok after a heated argument with her husband. The argument began when the husband attempted livestreaming a nude video on TikTok.

At around 3.30am, today, August 23, police were alerted to the incident in a community in Bang Lamphu Lang, Khlong San district. Investigators from Samre Police Station, forensic officers, a medical examiner from Chulalongkorn Hospital, and volunteers from the Poh Teck Tung Foundation arrived promptly at the scene.

The building, a four-story residential structure with rental units, became the site of the tragedy. The body of 32 year old Laotian woman, Han was found lying face up in front of the building. She was wearing an orange strapless top and a black skirt. The injuries observed included a fractured skull and broken arms and legs.

Han’s husband, 41 year old, Somsak recounted the events leading up to the incident. According to Somsak, they had been drinking together since early evening, resulting in both of them becoming heavily intoxicated. While livestreaming on TikTok, he attempted to undress and expose himself, but Han objected.

This disagreement escalated into a fierce argument. Amid the altercation, Han unexpectedly jumped from the balcony of their fourth-floor apartment. Somsak, who was still inebriated, quickly wrapped himself in a towel and rushed downstairs, only to discover that his wife had died upon impact. He immediately contacted the police.

Somsak, who works as a casual labourer, shared that his wife was employed as a garment worker. The couple had been renting the fourth-floor room in the building, said Captain Thaworn.

“We are currently questioning the deceased’s husband. We suspect that the argument during the livestream led to her jumping in a moment of emotional distress.”

Police Captain Thaworn stated that the initial hypothesis is that Han might have jumped out of distress following the intense argument with her husband during the livestream. Further investigations, including witness testimonies and CCTV footage, will be conducted to gather more evidence and confirm the circumstances surrounding the incident, reported Khaosod.
