Thai woman found dead in parked sedan in Pathum Thani
Police discovered the dead body of a Thai woman, identified only as A, inside a locked Honda City sedan, near Phahonyothin Road. The grim find was made on the last night, November 10, near kilometre marker 36+900, just opposite a local company in Khlong Nueng subdistrict, Pathum Thani.
The sedan, with its engine off, held the poignant scene. The 32 year old woman was found in the reclined driver’s seat, clad in black attire. On her lap was a black iPhone, while the left seat held a pack of wet tissues and an empty pill packet. Perhaps most telling was the tragic note found on her phone, hinting at the reasons behind her decision.
Police Lieutenant Colonels Woratham Phumiphak and Wira Sukchana, along with a team of investigators, forensic experts, and rescue volunteers, quickly secured the scene. Evidence collected included personal identification, a credit card, and a lighter alongside other telling items like a charcoal stove found in the back footwell.
Initial investigations revealed that the woman had rented the car from a company in Nonthaburi on November 8, while the vehicle owner was abroad in Japan. Responding officers, including Police Lieutenant Sunthorn Khamhinkong, were alerted to the scene after observing the car idling riskily on the roadside.
Resident Mr Chukiat recalled seeing the woman alive and well on the evening of November 9, noticing her using her mobile in the parked car. He had thought little of it until the police activity drew his attention the following day.
Forensic teams were called to lift fingerprints and capture crucial evidence before the vehicle was towed for further investigation. A’s body was respectfully handed over to the Ruamkatanyu Foundation and sent to Thammasat University Hospital’s Forensic Medicine Institute for a thorough autopsy to uncover the truth behind her untimely death, reported KhaoSod.
As the police work to reach out to her family, the investigation continues to unravel the circumstances leading to this tragic end on Phahonyothin Road.
