Chinoros recounted the events leading to the purchase of the winning tickets. On April 16, at nearly 3pm, she and her husband were returning from a trip to Bangkok when a familiar lottery vendor from Nonthaburi contacted her via a messaging app.

The vendor, who was selling tickets near Sanambinnam, informed her that a large set of 15 lottery tickets with the number 266227 remained unsold due to the perceived unattractiveness of the number. Chinoros decided to buy the tickets.

The vendor sent the ticket numbers via the app, and Chinoros transferred the payment. The original tickets were then mailed to her.
