Visitors flocked to Kham Chanod yesterday, February 12, to seek blessings from the revered spirits, Por Pu Si Sutho and Mae Ya Sri Pathumma, coinciding with the Buddhist holiday, Magha Puja Day.
The island, located in Ban Muang, Ban Dung district, Udon Thani province, was bustling with activity as worshippers gathered to make offerings and pray for luck and fortune during this significant Buddhist occasion.
Kham Chanod, known for its spiritual significance, saw a surge of believers and tourists participating in rituals and seeking auspicious numbers to try their luck.

After paying respects to the spirits, many headed to the ceremonial area in front of the island, where a ritual was conducted to welcome prosperity and luck, particularly for Bangkok residents.
Following the ceremony, participants observed candle drippings in a holy water bowl, discovering the numbers 8-1-6. Intriguingly, these matched the number 116 seen in the incense used during the ritual, leaving attendees surprised, reported KhaoSod.
The demand for lucky numbers extended to double numbers like 44 and 55, but many were disappointed to find these numbers already sold out at the over 200 lottery stalls on the island, ahead of the February 16 draw.
In similar news, a spine-chilling video of two geckos battling over a centipede has sent netizens into a frenzy—not just for the drama, but for the potential lottery numbers hidden in the showdown.
TikTok user @yowtamadai posted the eerie clip on January 30, showing two geckos locked in a fierce tug-of-war over a centipede. The video, captioned “Every day, oh my,” quickly gained traction, leaving viewers both fascinated and creeped out.
In the footage, one gecko dangles from the wall with the centipede clenched in its jaws, while another clings below, desperately tugging at the same insect. The intense struggle, which went on for some time, gave the poster goosebumps—while viewers couldn’t look away.
