Police in San Kamphaeng, Chiang Mai province, apprehended all four suspects involved in a brutal attack that left a 16 year old boy killed.

The investigators have completed the arrest of the gang members, including 24 year old Thanakorn, who is accused of stabbing the victim. The deceased had been attending a traditional dance event with his girlfriend and friends when a conflict ensued with the assailant.

Nathaphon Janmano, Chief of San Kamphaeng Police Station in Chiang Mai said…

“We have arrested all four suspects who were involved in this murder case,”

The latest arrest was that of Thanakorn, who was apprehended at a dormitory in the San Sai district. Another suspect, aged 18, was arrested at his residence in Mae On district, Chiang Mai.

The tragic stabbing unfolded on the night of June 10 when the victim, identified as A (pseudonym), attended the dance event with his girlfriend and friends. A disagreement arose between A and Thanakorn, who later encountered each other at a petrol station after the event. A fight broke out, which escalated to a fatal stabbing.

The four suspects are charged with jointly causing harm to others, resulting in death. They are scheduled to be remanded in custody today, and police will oppose bail for all four individuals.

About a week ago, a 29 year old man of Thai-Iranian descent was arrested for allegedly attacking his 40 year old Iranian friend during the purchase of fried chicken in Chon Buri. The attack reportedly came as a response to offensive comments made by the victim, who is now in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times.

In a separate incident that occurred around the same time, a fiery argument took place between a Thai woman and her foreign boyfriend in Pattaya. In the heat of the dispute, the woman stabbed her boyfriend in the leg before fleeing the scene, leaving the knife lodged in his calf.
