Tourists flocked to Kham Chanod Wang Nakin island in Udon Thani to seek good fortune with auspicious numbers before the lottery draw, while red candle wax revealed beautiful digits akin to the lucky numbers on ceremonial candles. The island is located in the Ban Dung district.

Yesterday, it was reported that a large number of tourists visited the ceremonial ground to pay respects and seek good fortune from Grandfather Sri Suttho and Grandmother Ya Sri Pathumma. At the ceremonial ground near the island, tourists are allowed to light candles and incense and also participate in different wealth-prophet rituals. The location is bustling with activity and crowded with numerous worship tables set up every day.

One interesting table belonged to a visitor who had travelled all the way from Bangkok early in the morning. The owner of the table was accompanied by a practitioner named Chamwan, who helped perform the wealth and luck-invoking ritual. They asked for business prosperity and financial success. After the ritual was completed, it was time to look for lucky numbers in their fortune bowl. Using their mobile phone, they took photos of the melted candle wax and sought relevant digits. The owner said they could see the numbers 489 and 984, while others saw different numbers, reported Sanook.

What is certain is that no strenuous effort was required in spotting lucky numbers on the ceremonial candles placed underneath the fortune bowl. The visitors saw the numbers 794 and 497, similar to those on the fortune bowl. Enthusiasts of good fortune will likely use these numbers to purchase lottery tickets for the draw on June 16.

Thais hold many superstitions around lottery numbers.

Yesterday, it was reported that tourists visiting the sacred site of a beehive nest under a particular Buddha statue noticed the numbers 17 and 11 and decided to try their luck in the lottery.
