Karaoke clash: Trat’s tune turns into brawl-room blitz over bar girl

Chaos erupted at a karaoke bar in Trat province late last night, as a dispute over a bar girl escalated into a violent brawl, leaving three people injured.

The shocking fight unfolded at a bar in Wang Krachae Subdistrict, Mueang District, just after midnight, sparking an emergency response and raising questions about what triggered the violent clash.

According to a report from the Thammasathan Trat Rescue Radio Centre, a fight broke out inside the bar, resulting in injuries to three people.

The first was identified as 27 year old Thanakorn, an employee of the karaoke bar, who suffered injuries to her face.

The second victim, 35 year old Jakkrachai, sustained facial injuries and wounds across his body. The third person, 53 year old Prasit, was injured on his right arm and other parts of his body.

Rescue workers swiftly arrived at the scene, where they found the three injured victims and a chaotic scene inside the bar. Personal belongings were scattered across the floor, and a baseball bat was found at the scene. After administering first aid, the victims were rushed to Trat Hospital for further treatment.

When questioned, staff members from the karaoke bar provided details of the events leading up to the fight. They revealed that Jakkrachai had been drinking with two friends inside the bar when, at around midnight, he suddenly walked out, only to return moments later carrying a baseball bat.

He proceeded directly to Prasit and struck him with the bat. In a desperate bid to defend himself, Prasit blocked the blow with his arm before the two men engaged in a violent fight.

Thanakorn, who attempted to intervene and stop the altercation, was accidentally struck by the bat and injured in the process. As the fight escalated, other customers in the bar rushed to help Prasit, ganging up on Jakkrachai until he too was injured. Jakkrachai’s friends were reportedly too intoxicated to intervene or assist in the situation, reported Channel 7 News.

Initial reports suggest that the brawl might have been triggered by a disagreement involving a bar girl. After documenting the scene, the police from Trat City Police Station allowed the victims to file complaints. Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the violent altercation, with further updates expected as the case unfolds.
