A fire broke out in the underground car park of a condominium in the Chokchai 4 area, causing a pickup truck to be completely destroyed and two other vehicles to suffer damage. Police suspect the blaze originated from a pile of rubbish.

The incident occurred around midnight today when Chokchai Police Station received a report about a vehicle fire within a condominium in Soi Chokchai 4, Soi 37, Yaek 5, on Chokchai 4 Road, Lat Phrao District, Bangkok. Firefighters and rescue teams from Lat Phrao were swiftly dispatched to the scene with a fire truck to tackle the blaze.

Upon arrival, the police found a substantial pile of rubbish on fire in the car park beneath the building. The flames had already engulfed a pickup truck parked nearby. It took approximately 10 minutes for the fire services to extinguish the blaze. Unfortunately, the pickup truck was completely destroyed, and two other vehicles parked nearby also sustained damage.

Furthermore, the fire spread slightly to the building itself, damaging the air conditioning compressor of a room situated above the car park. In total, three vehicles were affected by the fire in the condominium’s underground parking area, said an official at the scene.
