Man robbed at knifepoint while selling iPhone 16 in Bangkok

A man was robbed at knifepoint after attempting to sell an iPhone 16 via Facebook. The incident took place early yesterday, October 15, near the entrance of Soi Phahonyothin 49 in Lat Yao, Chatuchak, Bangkok. Police are currently investigating the case to apprehend the suspect.

Around 12.03am today, Bang Khen police officers were alerted to the robbery involving a weapon near the entrance of Soi Phahonyothin 49. The victim was approached by a man who brandished a knife and demanded the iPhone 16 that the victim had listed for sale on Facebook. The suspect then fled the scene on a Yamaha NMAX motorcycle heading towards outbound Phahonyothin Road.

Upon arrival at the scene, police officers found the victim and gathered information about the incident. It was revealed that both parties had agreed to meet at the location to complete the transaction arranged through Facebook.

The victim recounted that upon meeting, the suspect parked his motorcycle and immediately threatened him with a knife, forcing him to hand over the iPhone 16. After taking the phone, the suspect quickly fled, leaving the victim in shock. The police were then called to the scene, reported KhaoSod.

The police have invited the victim to file an official complaint at Bang Khen Police Station to pursue legal action against the suspect. The investigation is ongoing as officers work to track down the perpetrator and bring him to justice.

In related news, a woman reportedly fell victim to a robbery involving her car, cash, and mobile phone in a deserted area before the suspect fled on a motorcycle. The police are investigating the case but remain sceptical about its authenticity.

Around 1.36am on September 27, Prakasit Paladech, an investigator from Huay Yai Police Station in Chon Buri, received a report of a robbery.

The incident occurred on the outer road of Chaknok Reservoir, Moo 4, Huay Yai subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chon Buri. Following the report, he informed his superior, Police Colonel Surakit In-am, and led a team of patrol officers and investigators to the scene.
