David Carrick, a former officer of the Metropolitan Police, has been charged with eight sexual offences involving two women. The 49-year-old is accused of five counts of indecent assault against one woman. Additionally, Hertfordshire Police have charged him with two counts of rape, one count of sexual assault, and one count of coercive and controlling behaviour against a second woman.

Detective Chief Inspector Iain Moor stated that these charges come after “an extensive and complex investigation conducted over several months”. Carrick is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 17 October, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
