Thai woman’s Chinese boyfriend assaulted by Pattaya guards
A Thai woman has come forward with allegations regarding an incident involving her boyfriend at a nightclub on Pattaya’s Walking Street. In the early hours of December 31, she reported that her Chinese boyfriend was allegedly assaulted by security guards at the venue. The incident reportedly took place on December 27.
The woman, 27 year old Bee, provided media outlets with photographs and a police report detailing the extent of her boyfriend’s injuries. The Chinese businessman reportedly suffered a swollen face, broken teeth, and multiple bruises. Bee explained that the altercation began after a drinking game at their table resulted in a broken glass. Despite her boyfriend’s claim that he did not cause the breakage, security personnel allegedly removed him from the premises, leading to a heated argument.
According to Bee, the situation intensified when the security guards reportedly dragged her boyfriend outside and subjected him to a violent assault. She stated that the attack left him with three broken teeth and injuries to his face and head. Bee also accused the guards of mocking her pleas to call the police and threatening further harm if police were involved.
“They laughed when I asked them to call the police and threatened us with more violence.”
Pattaya police have initiated an investigation into the incident, gathering evidence from CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses to identify those involved. Police have expressed their commitment to delivering justice for the victim and addressing any potential impact on Pattaya’s reputation.
The police have refrained from disclosing the name of the nightclub, indicating that further investigation is required. They are focused on ensuring a thorough examination of the events leading up to and following the alleged assault, reported The Pattaya News.
