Speeding car crashes into Pattaya solar store, injuring two

A speeding car crashed into a solar panel store in Pattaya yesterday morning injuring two people. The driver attributed the accident to his lack of familiarity with the road.

Nong Prue police received the report at 3.06am, yesterday, October 2, about the crash at the intersection of Jomtien Second Road, Nong Prue subdistrict, in the Bang Lamung district of Chon Buri province. Police coordinated with rescue workers and arrived at the scene, accompanied by local reporters.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a black Subaru sedan that had lost control and collided with the solar panel store. The store’s glass frontage was shattered, and the car was significantly damaged.

Two individuals were injured in the incident. Katiphot, the 38 year old driver of the Subaru, and 42 year old Piyaboot who sustained minor injuries. Rescue workers provided immediate first aid before transporting both to the hospital. Later, another individual, 40 year old Thosaphon, arrived at the scene and identified himself as another driver involved in the incident.

CCTV footage from the area showed the vehicle speeding before it lost control and crashed into the store.

Police reported that the Subaru driver claimed his unfamiliarity with the road led to the accident. However, officers plan to conduct a blood alcohol test on the driver to determine the exact cause of the crash, reported Pattaya News.

In related news, a tragic accident occurred as heavy rain caused a speeding pickup truck driver to lose control and crash into a parked 10-wheeler truck, resulting in the driver’s instant death. The incident happened on July 15 on Mittraphap Road in Nakhon Ratchasima.
