Homeless woman injured in Sukhumvit Road accident with sedan
A homeless woman was struck by a sedan while crossing Sukhumvit Road in Nongprue, resulting in injuries. The incident occurred at 10.20pm on September 27. Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene, along with local news reporters, to find the woman, approximately 40 years old, lying injured on the road. She sustained head injuries and several scratches and was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The black sedan involved in the accident was found nearby, with its driver, a Thai man around 60 years old, waiting for the police. He explained the situation to the reporters, saying, “The female pedestrian was carrying bags and suddenly crossed the road. I couldn’t swerve in time and ended up hitting her.”
Rescue workers assessed the scene, ensuring the safety of other pedestrians and drivers while they managed the immediate aftermath of the accident. The driver remained cooperative throughout the process, awaiting further instructions from the law enforcement officers who arrived on the scene, reported The Pattaya News.
