A 29 year old Thai man tragically lost his life after his motorcycle collided with a construction barrier in Pattaya.
The Sawang Boriboon Rescue Centre was alerted to the accident on Pattaya Third Road at 1.36am on Sunday, February 9. Upon receiving the report, they coordinated with Pattaya police and dispatched rescue volunteers. Reporters from The Pattaya News also arrived at the scene.
When responders reached the location, they discovered a black Honda Wave 110i motorcycle, which had collided with a marked construction barrier for an underground power line project.
The motorcycle was heavily damaged and lay in the middle of the road. Nearby, a black Nissan Almera had sustained minor damage.
The injured motorcyclist, identified as 29 year old chef Thanakorn from Chaiyaphum, was found with severe injuries next to the barrier.
Despite receiving first aid from rescue workers, he succumbed to his injuries shortly thereafter. His mother and relatives arrived, with his mother overwhelmed by grief.

Witnessing the incident was 47 year old Bolt driver Prarop, who reported that the motorcycle rider was speeding before crashing into the barrier.
The impact caused the rider and motorcycle to be thrown in different directions. The motorcycle subsequently slid and struck Prarop’s car, causing minor damage, reported The Pattaya News.
Thanakorn’s body was transported to Pattaya Patthamakoon Hospital, where his relatives will complete the necessary documentation for funeral arrangements.

In similar news, nearly 20 Thai, Burmese, and foreign bystanders joined forces to overturn a sedan and rescue a motorcyclist trapped beneath the vehicle in Phuket on February 9. Despite their heroic efforts, the elderly rider later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
A video shared by The Phuket Times captured the emotional moment as the group worked together to lift the white sedan, freeing the injured motorcyclist. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene and transported him to the hospital for urgent treatment.
