Witnesses overturn car to save motorcyclist who later dies in hospital

Nearly 20 Thai, Burmese, and foreign witnesses worked together to overturn a sedan to save a motorcyclist who was trapped beneath the vehicle on a road in Phuket yesterday, February 9. They successfully retrieved the rider but he later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

The Phuket Times shared a touching video showing a group of people working hard to free the elderly motorcyclist from under the white sedan. They managed to pull him out, and a medical team rushed him to hospital.

Many netizens expressed their appreciation for the kindness of those in the video and sent well wishes for the motorcyclist’s recovery.

A witness later provided details of the accident to Channel 7, stating that the sedan driver collided with the victim’s motorcycle, causing the elderly man to become trapped beneath the car. He and others heard the motorcyclist’s cries for help and rushed to assist, as seen in the video.

Another man at the scene commented on the Phuket Times post, sharing that a nurse immediately parked her car and stepped in to help the injured rider as well.

The daughter of the injured motorcyclist also responded in the comments, expressing gratitude for the assistance and support from both the rescuers and netizens.

Unfortunately, Phuket Times later reported that the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries in hospital today, February 10.
