A woman was left frustrated after ordering a Labubu toy from POP MART, only to find it stolen by someone who tampered with the package. Despite contacting the delivery company, no resolution was offered, and the company acknowledged this issue happens frequently.

Noot, the affected customer, shared her experience with KhaoSod Online after her order of collectable toys from the POP MART store was stolen. She ordered the Labubu version 2 figures, which were shipped as usual, with tracking numbers provided by POP MART. The package arrived in Thailand on July 23. A delivery company employee called to inform her that the package had arrived.

Noot, occupied with work, could not receive the package herself. The employee signed for the delivery on her behalf, but when Noot retrieved the package, she noticed the parcel was damaged. She recorded a video of the damaged package and upon opening it, found that one Labubu figure was missing.

“I knew it was stolen because I have ordered from POP MART many times before, and normally, the parcels do not have a clear tape with the delivery company’s logo.”

Noot suspects that someone familiar with the contents of POP MART shipments intentionally stole the item, as similar incidents have happened to others.

When she contacted the delivery company to report the theft, they advised her to claim the missing item through POP MART. Following the procedure, she reached out to POP MART, who confirmed that the full order was shipped and provided CCTV footage as evidence. POP MART instructed her to contact the delivery company in Thailand for further assistance.

Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue with the delivery company, Noot received no help.

“The loss may not be significant in monetary terms, but it holds sentimental value. It takes time to acquire these items, and their value often increases over time.”

Urge for legal action

Noot also inquired with the delivery company about the possibility of filing a police report to inspect the warehouse.

“Filing a report may not guarantee the return of your item, as it involves several steps.”

Frustrated, she urged the delivery company to address and rectify the issue, reported KhaoSod.

“Many people who order art toys from POP MART have experienced similar thefts, and no actions have been taken to solve the problem.

“This is not the fault of POP MART or myself, as they shipped the items properly. Each time I receive a package, I wonder if the items will still be inside. The delivery company’s call centre even admitted that items from POP MART frequently go missing. It’s puzzling why no measures have been taken to address this recurring issue.”
