Building trouble: Businesswoman’s missing gear found at cop’s home

A businesswoman dealing in construction equipment reported a significant loss of over 1.6 million baht after her products went missing during a relocation. Later found at a police officer’s home who had been hired for the move, her attempts to reclaim the items were met with resistance.
The businesswoman, referred to as Noong (pseudonym), reached out to the media to recount her experience. She operates a construction and tool supply store in Mueang district, Nakhon Ratchasima, and faced financial difficulties due to a slow economy, which led her to relocate her store in mid-December. During the move, she discovered some items had disappeared.
Noong hired Por (pseudonym), a police officer she knew, to assist with transporting her store’s goods. Due to the large volume of items, Por involved another man, Tor (pseudonym), who subsequently engaged A ( pseudonym), an employee at a transport company, to help with the move. During the process, Noong noticed a substantial amount of merchandise was missing.
On confronting Tor, he denied any knowledge of the missing items. When Noong further questioned Por, he evaded the issue.
Visiting Por’s home, she discovered her goods and personal items there but Por refused to return them and demanded 23,000 baht for moving services.
The police officer also denied any knowledge of money from selling scrap metal associated with her items, leading to a heated argument. Fearing potential conflict, Noong left the premises but suspected the involvement of the three men in the disappearance of her products.

On February 4, Noong filed a police report but expressed concerns over the delay in the investigation. Worried that her items might be sold off, she sought media assistance.
Noong explained that the situation is dire as her new store has not yielded sales, and she is facing financial pressure from suppliers demanding payment for the goods that were stolen.
She has urged the police to expedite their investigation to recover her products, as her current financial predicament is severe, reported KhaoSod.
