Residents seek blessings at Suphan Buri temple for lottery luck

Residents flocked to Wat Phai Khat in Suphan Buri province to seek blessings from Luang Pho Yai, igniting a buzz of activity as they searched for lucky numbers in preparation for the upcoming lottery draw.

Wat Phai Khat in Sri Samran, Song Phi Nong district, Suphan Buri province, was teeming with residents from morning until evening yesterday, July 31. They gathered to seek blessings and luck from Luang Pho Yai, the revered monk at the temple, in anticipation of the lottery draw taking place today.

Residents brought flowers, incense, and candles to pay respects to Luang Pho Yai, Phra Phuttha Mahamongkon Muni, and Thao Wessuwan. The atmosphere was lively, with some individuals setting off thousands of firecrackers as part of their vows.

Among the crowd were those who had previously received good fortune and returned to shake the sticks, revealing the number 95. Another focal point for the locals was the holy water basin, where they interpreted the numbers 416, 170, 1, 6, 4, 7, 8, and 0, hoping these numbers would bring them luck in the upcoming lottery.

Phra Ajarn Od, the abbot of Wat Phai Khat, explained that the temple is a hub of faith for the local community. Residents regularly visit to seek blessings, especially on the 16th and the first of every month, coinciding with lottery draws.

Over time, Luang Pho Yai has gained a reputation for bringing good fortune, prompting people to return with offerings. Recently, one of the residents even won the first prize in the lottery, further solidifying the temple’s reputation as a source of luck.

“The faith in Luang Pho Yai is immense. People come to seek blessings and fortune continuously. Particularly around lottery times, the temple is filled with worshippers.”

The temple, located in a serene part of Suphan Buri, has become a beacon of hope and faith for many. The belief in Luang Pho Yai’s ability to bestow luck has only grown stronger with each reported instance of good fortune. The residents’ dedication is evident in their regular visits and the vibrant activities surrounding the temple, especially as lottery dates draw near.

The numbers derived from the holy water basin and the shaking sticks are often considered lucky. These numbers quickly become popular among the locals, many of whom rush to buy lottery tickets with the hope that the numbers will bring them luck, reported KhaoSod.
