A manhunt is underway in Phuket, as police are fervently looking for a woman accused of committing a horrifying acid attack on her former partner. This violent incident unfolded yesterday evening on Soi Ta-iad, in the district of Chalong.

The distressing call to authorities was made from outside a pharmacy situated opposite the popular Ali’s BBQ restaurant. The report came in at approximately 11.20pm, triggering an immediate response from local law enforcement.

Chalong Police Chief Ekkarat Plaiduang upon receiving the notification of the incident, immediately ordered a team to the scene to begin their investigation.

The victim, known only as Nattaya, was quickly rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention. Upon speaking with the officers, Nattaya recounted that her ex-girlfriend approached her outside the pharmacy. Without warning, her former lover proceeded to splash her face with a liquid that caused a severe burning sensation on her skin. As soon as the act was committed, the ex-girlfriend made her escape, leaving behind only a yellow plastic bottle at the scene.
