Thai woman turns to Gun for help with polygamist cop husband
A Thai woman turned to social media influencer Guntouch “Gun” Pongpaiboonwet for help after her alleged polygamist husband, a Cyber Police officer, allegedly assaulted her and refused to support their five children. The police officer reportedly has five wives and 16 children.
Well-known Thai influencer Gun, today, May 8, accompanied the 37 year old Thai woman to the Royal Thai Police headquarters to file a report against the serial spouse. Her children, three boys and two girls were also present at the scene. The youngest siblings were twins aged only five months.
The woman revealed in an interview with Channel 7 that her police husband abandoned the family for two months, leaving her with only a few hundred baht and unable to provide food or milk for their children.
The woman stated that she had been with the police officer for over 16 years but they never officially registered their marriage. She knew about his four previous wives but he assured her that he had not been in contact with any of them since their relationship ended.
However, the police officer changed over the past three years. He became distant, neglecting family responsibilities, and physically abusing her when she requested financial support.
The woman said she later discovered that her husband remained in contact with four other wives and shared 11 children with them. Additionally, she recently learned he officially married his fourth wife.
Despite seeking help from her husband’s superior, the woman received no assistance, so she decided to reach out to Gun.
Gun urged the police officer to confront the situation and actively seek a resolution. He emphasised the critical circumstances, pointing out that one of the children has a heart condition, while another is an exceptional child.
Additionally, Gun voiced suspicions about the officer’s potential involvement in illegal activities after reviewing his personal notebook. The secret notebook listed the names of those implicated.
Gun revealed that he possessed the notebook and urged the officer to reach out to him before any further exposure of these alleged actions.
