A newborn baby girl was found abandoned in a black bag next to a garbage bin in Pathum Thani. Locals promptly alerted emergency services, who rushed the infant to the hospital. Police are now reviewing CCTV footage to identify the person responsible.

Chumphon Songngam, an investigator at Khlong Luang Police Station in Pathum Thani, received a report yesterday that a newborn baby had been abandoned next to a garbage bin on the roadside in front of a company on Soi Thep Khun Chon 29, Moo 12, Khlong Nueng Subdistrict, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani. The Thai authorities, including Siraphop Bualuang, an investigator, a team of detectives, and a rescue unit, quickly arrived at the scene.

Upon arrival, they discovered a team of emergency responders from Thakhlong Municipality providing initial aid to the baby girl. She was determined to be full-term and in good health. The umbilical cord had been cut and tied with thread. After cleaning the baby, she was handed over to the emergency team from Thammasat University Hospital and was rushed to the hospital for further care.

Police inspected the area next to the garbage bin and found a black garbage bag containing a white towel and a packet of medicine. An initial search of the vicinity revealed no women who had just given birth, although there were many dormitories located in nearby alleys.

Yossaphon Rattanaprayoon, an official from Thakhlong Municipality, explained that while on patrol, the department received a call from a citizen reporting the discovery of a newborn baby next to the garbage bin, reported KhaoSod.

The team immediately went to the scene, where they found the baby girl alive and quickly coordinated with emergency responders to assist.

“We received a call about a newborn found by the garbage bin and rushed to the scene. We found the baby girl alive and immediately contacted the municipality’s emergency team for help.”

Authorities are now investigating and reviewing CCTV footage to track down the individual who abandoned the infant, aiming to bring them to justice.
