TAT shines on Sri Racha tourism with magical island light show

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in partnership with Sri Racha Municipality, is set to present the Vijitr Chon Buri The Lighting Illumination: The Magical Island. This event will take place from tomorrow, July 20 to July 28 at Koh Loy in Sri Racha.

Mayor of Sri Racha District Chatchai Timkrajang and Nat Khrutasutta, the Director of the Activities Department at the TAT, launched the event’s press conference on Wednesday, July 17, at the venue on Koh Loy. Chatchai highlighted that Vijitr Chon Buri The Lighting Illumination is designed as a grand light and sound show, aimed at boosting tourism, stimulating the local economy, creating jobs, and distributing income to local businesses.

The event, themed The Magical Island, will run from tomorrow to the end of next week, starting at 5pm each day at Koh Loy in Sri Racha district. Visitors will be treated to an impressive array of lights and sounds, featuring underwater-themed illuminations, Eastern Sea dance performances, fireworks displays, and various other attractions.

“We hope this event will draw local and international tourists to Sri Racha, offering them a unique experience while supporting the local economy.”

Chatchai also expressed his enthusiasm about the upcoming event, mentioning that it will not only provide entertainment but also showcase the rich cultural heritage of Sri Racha. The event organisers have promised a series of captivating performances and displays that reflect the beauty and uniqueness of the region.

“Our goal is to make Sri Racha a must-visit destination for tourists during this period. We have put a lot of effort into ensuring that the event is memorable and enjoyable for everyone.”

Array of attractions

The Vijitr Chonburi The Lighting Illumination is expected to draw large crowds, with local businesses gearing up to accommodate the influx of visitors. The main attractions will be the underwater-themed illuminations and the Eastern Sea dance performances.

In addition to the visual spectacles, the event will feature a variety of food and souvenir stalls, offering visitors a chance to sample local delicacies and purchase unique souvenirs. The fireworks displays, scheduled for several nights during the event, are anticipated to be a major highlight, providing a stunning finale to the nightly festivities.

Local officials have been working closely with event organisers to ensure that all necessary safety and security measures are in place. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to secure good viewing spots and to take advantage of the full range of activities on offer, reported Pattaya News.
