AirAsia MOVE has identified three major travel trends gaining popularity: sustainable tourism, experiential travel, and domestic tourism. These travel styles align with the preferences of modern travellers who seek value-for-money deals, such as flight and hotel packages with special discounts, credit card perks, and eco-friendly destinations.

AirAsia MOVE promptly offers exclusive discounts with no minimum spend for Visa cardholders, encouraging them to plan and embark on their trips immediately. Travellers can choose from over 700 partner airlines, more than 900,000 hotel options, or combined flight and hotel packages that are up to 25% cheaper than booking separately.

These offers are available from today until November 24 next year. Visa cardholders can use the code “VISA” to unlock additional special discounts across various categories.

Partner airlines offer an instant discount of 230 baht with no minimum spend. Hotels provide an additional 160 baht discount without any minimum spend requirement. For flight and hotel packages, an instant discount of 400 baht is available with no minimum spend.

The emphasis on sustainable tourism reflects a growing awareness among travellers about the environmental impact of their journeys. Many seek destinations that promote eco-friendly practices and offer opportunities to engage in responsible tourism. Sustainable tourism not only helps preserve the environment but also supports local communities and economies.

Experiential travel has also seen a rise in popularity, with travellers looking for unique and memorable experiences rather than just visiting traditional tourist spots. This trend includes activities such as culinary tours, cultural immersions, adventure sports, and personalised guided tours. The desire for authentic and enriching experiences is driving more travellers to explore off-the-beaten-path destinations and engage with local cultures.

Domestic tourism has surged as well, partly due to the restrictions and uncertainties surrounding international travel. Many travellers are discovering the hidden gems within their own countries, from scenic landscapes and historical sites to vibrant cities and tranquil retreats. Domestic travel is often seen as more convenient, affordable, and safe, especially in the current global context, reported KhaoSod.

“Visa cardholders can enjoy these exclusive discounts and start planning their next adventure with AirAsia MOVE. Our goal is to make travel more accessible and enjoyable for everyone, with a focus on value, convenience, and sustainability.”
