Four nabbed after Bangkok stabbing leaves teenager dead

Four people have been apprehended following the tragic stabbing of a 19 year old boy, known only as Ratthaphum, in Bang Kae, Bangkok. The grisly incident, which went down on Saturday, December 14, kicked off a rapid police operation.

Police trawled through CCTV footage to track the suspects, eventually zeroing in on a property in the Bang Kae area. Here, they caught up with three of the alleged offenders. These three admitted they were at the scene but firmly denied wielding the knife.

“We were there but had nothing to do with the attack,” they reportedly insisted to the police. They claimed they had already informed their parents and were planning to turn themselves in.

Meanwhile, the fourth suspect was cornered in Ayutthaya. He purportedly came clean, saying it was self-defence after the victim had a go at him with a kick, reported Bangkok Post.

All suspects are currently cooling their heels at Phetkasem Police Station while the investigation delves deeper into the bloody affair.

Tensions flared when a bunch of the victim’s mates confronted the suspects’ families at the police station. Despite claiming ignorance about the gory details, the families assured that justice would be served.

This tragic incident has cast a dark cloud, leaving a tense atmosphere as police work to piece together the full story.
