Tropical storm Podul heads for Thailand

Provinces across Thailand have been put on high alert as tropical storm Podul heads this way. The Thai Meteorological Department has issued a warning that Podul is a category 3 storm likely to bring torrential rain and very strong winds to many parts of the country.
The storm is currently moving west through Hainan to the Gulf of Tonkin at about 25km an hour and is expected to make landfall over upper Vietnam tomorrow.
The Northeast of Thailand should feel the effects from today, before the storm shifts to the north, east and south (west coast) of the country, bringing heavy to very heavy rain to most areas.
