Tragic car accident in Phayao leaves one dead, three injured

A tragic accident occurred in Phayao, where a car from Bangkok collided with a parked pickup truck, resulting in one fatality and three severe injuries. The incident, which left both vehicles severely damaged and debris scattered across the road, took place in the Mueang Phayao district, northern Thailand.

On April 28, Phukamyao police received reports of a car rear-ending a parked pickup on the Phayao-Pa Daet Road near Ban Jen, Dong Jen subdistrict. Four people were trapped inside the vehicles, prompting emergency response from Phayao’s volunteer organisations and Phukamyao’s emergency services.

At the scene, a red Suzuki car with Bangkok registration 5กภ-8836 was found with its front end heavily damaged. Nearby, a black four-door pickup truck was severely damaged at the rear.

Rescue personnel worked to free the four trapped people, providing first aid and transporting them to a hospital. Unfortunately, one of the injured, identified as Krisana Singkaew, later succumbed to injuries.

CCTV footage revealed that the black pickup had been parked by the roadside while its owner was unloading garbage bags. The red car, travelling at high speed, struck the rear of the pickup, sweeping both the vehicle and the owner, resulting in the injuries and fatality, reported KhaoSod.
