According to a coworker, 39 year old Chakrapan, the workers had been renovating the restaurant when the accident occurred. While Chatmongkol was sewing a roll-up door, a loose electrical wire dangling from the ceiling came into contact with the scaffold. As Chatmongkol attempted to remove the wire, he was electrocuted and fell from the scaffold, leaving his colleagues in shock.

“We quickly shut off the power and called for emergency assistance.”

The incident left bystanders shaken, as the worker’s injuries highlighted the dangers of electrical hazards at construction sites.

Police have launched an investigation into the mishap, aiming to determine whether negligence or faulty equipment contributed to the accident. Chatmongkol is currently undergoing treatment, with updates on his condition yet to be released, reported Pattaya Mail.
