In a daring night-time crackdown, Pattaya police brought a screeching halt to a high-octane motorcycle theft gang, catching them in the act thanks to eagle-eyed locals.

Under the cover of night on February 25 at exactly 12.30am, officers from Bang Lamung Police Station swooped into the Khao Ta Lo area, acting on red-hot tips from fed-up residents, reported Pattaya News.

What they uncovered left them astounded: six motorcycles, stripped to the bones, lay hidden beneath a discreet tarpaulin behind a nondescript wall. Parts and pieces were strewn around like a motorbike jigsaw puzzle.

The police then shifted their focus to a dodgy repair shop nestled in the building’s corner, run by a 35 year old man known only by his street name, “Benz.”

Within this den of dismantle, officers unearthed a veritable treasure trove of motorbike bits and bobs, alongside two full motorcycles ripe for seizure.

Despite the shop owner “Benz” boldly claiming ownership of the entire stash, officers weren’t buying it and hauled him in for questioning.

In similar news, a sleepy Thai province was left reeling after a gang of teenage tearaways went on a brazen motorbikestealing spree, only for police to uncover a jaw-dropping twist. The culprits? A trio of school-age delinquents, the youngest just 13.

At the helm of the pint-sized pilferers was a 15 year old ringleader already up to his neck in trouble, having been out on bail for a previous theft. But instead of keeping his nose clean, the cocky crime boss led his crew straight back into mischief, this time in Bang Khunak.

On February 20, officers at Bang Khunak Police Station hauled in the cheeky trio, their red-faced guardians in tow, for a grilling by Police Lieutenant Somyot Chanthalerd.

The game was up when cops swooped on their homes, uncovering the stolen motorbikes hidden away after vanishing from Khlong 19 Railway Station in Bang Nam Priao district.
