Bass-case scenario: Pattaya bar’s booming beats face the music

Pattaya police swooped on a notorious Pattaya beer bar complex after complaints from fed-up locals about the noise transforming their nights into a nightmare.
On Tuesday, February 24, at 8.30pm, Pattaya Mayor Poramase Ngampichet had finally had enough and ordered a full-scale investigation of the hubbub hotspot in Soi Diana, South Pattaya, following a chorus of noise complaints from grumbling residents.
A squad of city officials and law enforcement officers, headed by Thakolrat, the bar’s manager, descended on the unruly watering holes.
However, the name of the venue remains cloaked in mystery, as Pattaya police decided to keep things quiet due to ongoing investigations.
The noise nuisance, already a TikTok sensation, accused the enclave of relentlessly pounding out live music packed with heavy basslines and thundering drums.
Officials on site confirmed the claims, discovering the loud venue’s anatomy: a whopping ten bar zones, a bustling central seating area, and an in-your-face live music stage.

A sound test conducted during the raid painted a deafening picture as music blared clearly beyond the precincts. This prompted the officials to issue a stern order: the booming beats must be contained, reported Pattaya News.
Thakolrat complied and committed to revamping the venue’s acoustics to ensure silent nights for the beleaguered locals.

“The venue’s been up and running for barely a year and was trouble-free until this month,” said the bar manager, eager to please and keen on getting the fixes done within the next 30 days.
The promise of tranquility looms, with a follow-up inspection already on the books to ensure the upgrades hit the right note.

In other Pattaya news, tourists were left stunned as a brutal brawl between two transgender women erupted at a beer bar on Pattaya Central Road Sai 2. Caught on CCTV and now viral on Thai social media, the violent altercation unfolded on February 15 at 10.30pm, right in front of passing tourists.
