A driver in Sattahip found themselves in a difficult situation when their modified pickup truck, which was too tall for a flyover bridge, became wedged underneath it. Kritsana Phueim admitted that he forgot his Isuzu pickup with a refrigerated unit installed in the bed exceeded the 2.5-metre height limit for the flyover bridge on Sukhumvit Road at the two-kilometre mark in Sattahip.

As Kritsana approached and tried to make a U-turn under the bridge, the height issue dawned on him too late to stop. His truck became stuck, causing an obstruction for other road users. Traffic was brought to a standstill as a result, reports Pattaya Mail.

Volunteers and police who responded to the incident on Monday noted that this was not the first time drivers of overly tall trucks had encountered problems with the newly built bridge. It appears that many individuals in the area have failed to take the height restriction into account when travelling on this particular stretch of road.

A man in Phuket reportedly smashed a pickup truck and assaulted the driver with an iron bar, causing injuries. The Phuket Express reported that the incident took place a couple of days ago in the Talad Nuea area of Phuket’s main city district.
