Chinese YouTuber mugged in Pattaya by fellow nationals

A Chinese YouTuber was discovered with severe injuries in Pattaya in the early hours of yesterday, April 12, after reportedly being tricked into a mugging by two fellow Chinese nationals.

Police in Chon Buri’s resort town were notified by a resident at 5.10am about a man who had been assaulted and left on the roadside in Soi Thep Prasit 6/1, Bang Lamung district.

Upon arrival, officers found 37 year old Li Hailong with a bleeding lip, bruised right eye, and multiple scratches. He identified himself as a YouTube content creator from China and recounted being approached by two other Chinese nationals at a local entertainment venue.

Li alleged that the pair invited him into their vehicle and, upon reaching a secluded alley, attacked him. After he begged them to stop, they fled with his mobile phone.

A local, known only as Buayen, assisted him. The woman explained that she was passing by on her motorcycle when she heard cries for help and discovered the injured person, reported Bangkok Post.
