They discovered a white Toyota Alphard van overturned on the road. The driver, 43 year old Xu from China, reportedly lost control of the vehicle, resulting in it flipping over and obstructing the road. This incident caused traffic to come to a standstill for more than half an hour. Police worked diligently to manage and normalise the traffic flow. Xu sustained minor injuries and received initial medical treatment before being transferred to a hospital.

The accident also involved two other vehicles: a black Chevrolet Cruze and a black Honda Civic. The Chevrolet was hit from behind and subsequently collided with the Honda. Fortunately, the Turkish tourist driving the Honda emerged unscathed.

Witnesses described the van swerving between lanes, mounting the pavement, and crashing into the back of a stationary car, which led to the van overturning and blocking the road. Passersby assisted in safely extracting the van driver before officials arrived.

Police conducted a breathalyser test on Xu to determine alcohol levels, although the results have not been disclosed as of this report, reported The Pattaya News.
