A short distance from the motorcycle, a grey Mazda sedan with damage to the front right side was located. The 36 year old driver, Sompong, remained at the scene to provide a statement to the police and was uninjured.

According to Sompong, he admitted to making a U-turn in a no U-turn zone, unaware of any approaching vehicles. He stated that the motorcycle driven by Phicharat came from the opposite direction and collided with the front of his car.

“I didn’t see any vehicles approaching when I made the U-turn.”

The police plan to wait for Phicharat to be discharged from the hospital for further questioning to ascertain the exact cause of the accident, reported Pattaya News.
