A taxi driver, who made an illegal U-turn, slapped a security guard after he warned the cabbie not to make the turn. The incident occurred at a prominent shopping mall in Bang Yai, Nonthaburi, and was captured on a 42-second dashcam video shared on a popular Facebook page.

The video shows a green and yellow taxi making an illegal U-turn. The driver then exits the vehicle and appears to strike the security guard on the head. Following a brief exchange of words, the driver returns to his car. The Facebook page อยากดังเดี๋ยวจัดให้ รีเทริน์ part 7 shared the video with a caption:

“Bold taxi driver! The security guard warned him not to make a U-turn, and he responded by slapping the guard. This happened today at Westgate. The taxi driver attempted an illegal U-turn, got angry when stopped, and slapped the security guard.”

Comments on the video recommended that the security guard file a police report for assault and advised against accepting an apology in the form of a gift basket, suggesting instead to demand monetary compensation.

The video has sparked significant online discussion, with many users expressing outrage at the taxi driver’s behaviour and supporting the security guard’s right to seek justice.

“Reporting the incident to the police is the best course of action. It’s unacceptable for someone to react violently over a simple warning.”

“Don’t accept any gifts or apologies. Demand financial compensation for the assault. This behaviour should not go unpunished.”

The incident highlights ongoing issues with road safety and compliance with traffic laws in Thailand. Making illegal U-turns is a common problem, and this incident serves as a reminder of the potential consequences of such actions.

Police have yet to comment on the incident, but the video has drawn attention to the need for stricter enforcement of traffic regulations and better protection for security personnel who often face aggressive behaviour from motorists.

The security guard involved in the incident has not made a public statement, and it remains unclear if any formal complaint has been filed with the police. The identity of the taxi driver has also not been disclosed, reported KhaoSod.
