Police fish out man’s body found floating in Pattaya Bay
Pattaya City police yesterday reported that the body of a man was found floating in Pattaya Bay. Locals informed Pattaya police about the body spotted in the water near Pratumnak Hill, approximately 300 metres from the coast.
The dead man, believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, was discovered face down in the sea. He was wearing black shorts and a cotton glove. Upon retrieval, an initial examination showed no signs of foul play.
The police suspect the man had been dead for at least 12 hours before his body was recovered. Early investigations suggest he might have been a Thai national who possibly drowned accidentally while searching for shells, reported Pattaya News.
Efforts are currently underway to identify the man and an autopsy is planned to determine the exact cause of death.

Pattaya police officers were alerted to the presence of a foreign man’s body floating face-down in the sea near Jomtien Beach, opposite Soi Jomtien 14. Police officers, along with rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation promptly responded to the tragic scene.
Meanwhile, holidaymakers were left in shock on January 3, as police launched an investigation into the death of a foreign tourist found floating lifelessly off Patong Beach in the morning.
The grim discovery was made near the iconic Dolphin Circle at approximately 10am. Traiphop Buakhai, a local parasail speedboat operator, was the first to notice the tragic scene—a body face down in the turquoise waters.
In other news, police are investigating the mysterious death of a 59 year old Thai man whose lifeless body was discovered in a Phuket resort room last night, February 12. The cause of death remains unknown, with no immediate signs of foul play.
