Body of foreign man found in sea off Jomtien Beach
The body of a foreign man was found floating in the sea near Jomtien Beach, Pattaya yesterday afternoon.
At 1.30pm, yesterday, January 16, Pattaya police officers were alerted to the presence of a foreign man’s body floating face-down in the sea near Jomtien Beach, opposite Soi Jomtien 14. Police officers, along with rescue workers from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation promptly responded to the tragic scene.
Upon arrival, the rescue team deployed an inflatable boat to conduct a thorough search of the surrounding area. They located the dead man’s body approximately 200 metres from the shoreline and subsequently brought it back to the beach.
According to police, the body belonged to a foreign male estimated to be between 50 and 60 years old, dressed only in white swimming trunks. There were no visible signs of physical assault but it was estimated that he had been dead for about seven to eight hours.
The body has been transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Police General Hospital for an autopsy, which will determine the exact cause of death and confirm the identity of the individual, reported The Pattaya News.

In other news, a 53 year old man was found dead in his garden in Mueang district, Nakhon Ratchasima province, after reportedly stepping outside to urinate. The man was discovered by his stepson, who had gone out for a cigarette on the morning of January 12.
