Retired Thai police officer threatens, harasses, and exposes himself to neighbours
A 71 year old retired police officer allegedly disturbed neighbours in Nonthaburi province near Bangkok by feeding pigeons, urinating into neighbours’ gardens, splashing water on public roads, shining lights into homes, and exposing himself.
Residents of a village in the Bang Kruay neighbourhood contacted Channel 3 after Bang Kruay Police Station officers failed to take action on a complaint filed over a year ago.
More than 10 residents have been affected by the retired officer’s behaviour, with some enduring the situation for over four years.
One of the victims, 55 year old Ae, told Channel 3 that she had previously asked the elderly neighbour to stop feeding pigeons because she suffers from allergies and was affected by the large flock of birds gathering in the community to wait for food.
According to Ae, the retired officer showed no sympathy and even insulted her using strong vulgarities, calling her a b*tch and threatening to rape her.

The man also shone bright spotlights into Ae’s home at night, preventing her and her family from sleeping. He frequently urinated over the fence into her garden and exposed himself in front of her.
When the retired police officer splashed water on the public road outside his home to clean away the pigeon waste, he would push all of it into the area in front of Ae’s house.

Another victim, 71 year old Uud, told reporters that the retired policeman had threatened to shoot him while drunk. Although he reported the death threat to the police, no action was taken.
Furthermore, a 60 year old woman, Muay, reported that the man attempted to damage her security camera. She said she had no idea why, as she rarely interacted with him.

The juristic person, Ek, said he had tried to mediate the conflict and encouraged both parties to work together towards a solution, but the retired officer refused to cooperate.
Ek and the affected residents are urging police to take the case seriously and find a concrete solution to the ongoing disturbance. As of now, police have not issued a statement regarding the next steps.

In a similar case, Phuket locals sought help from government officials after being disturbed by a foreign couple having loud sex every day. Residents complained that the couple made loud moaning noises every day from 10pm to 4am, preventing them from sleeping.
Fortunately, the foreigners admitted their wrongdoing and agreed to resolve the issues to ensure peace in the community. The foreign man reportedly apologised to the affected neighbours himself and promised to be more discreet during sexual activities.
