Police recently surrounded the house of an individual known as Jakkree Pannoi, or Big, but failed to locate him. His wife was detained and questioned to establish links to the Chaowalit Thongduang case. Jakkree’s wife denied any involvement.

Meanwhile, Jirawut Chumsri, or Boy, an associate of Sia Paeng, agreed to surrender today. Jakkree is believed to be an accomplice of Chaowalit, also known as Sia Paeng. Chaowalit escaped from Maharaj Nakhon Si Thammarat Hospital, in southern Thailand, on October 22.

Reporters revealed that following the discovery of a white Mitsubishi pickup truck, believed to be used by Jirawut to flee Maharaj Hospital, investigations intensified. The truck was abandoned in the town of Phatthalung, and the police suspected that another vehicle, driven by Jakkree, was waiting to pick up Jirawut from the location.

Officers searched the nearby area, which was a mere 5 kilometres away from the home of Sia Paeng’s elder brother, but neither Jirawut nor Jakkree were found.

Throughout the previous day and night, after the white Mitsubishi truck was discovered, the police speculated that it was Jirawut who had left the vehicle and fled in another car. They suspected this second car was driven by Jakkree or Big.

The police searched the vicinity, which was close to where the vehicle was abandoned and only 5 kilometres away from Chaowalit’s brother’s house. However, neither Jirawut nor Jakkree were located.

Stakeout

Moreover, at 6am, officers from Police Control 6 and the Crime Suppression Division, in collaboration with the Provincial Police Region 8, surrounded a house in Phaya Khann district, Phatthalung, believed to be Jakkree’s residence. The 41 year old Jakkree is an associate of Paeng Nahod and aided him in driving the vehicle that enabled Chaowalit to escape.

There were rumours that Jakkree had returned home late the previous night, but the police did not find him. Instead, they encountered his wife who they subsequently detained for questioning regarding the escape route and any encounters in the area.

This was done to establish connections to aid in the capture of Jakkree, Jirawut, and Chaowalit. Initially, Jakkree’s wife denied any involvement and insisted she had been home throughout the entire incident.

Jakkree’s mother, Buoy, stated she had not seen her son at all. She added that her grandchildren had been with her the whole time and had not gone anywhere. She declined to comment further and asked the media to direct their questions to the police, as they had all the information, reported KhaoSod.

As for the abandoned pickup truck found at Yangyaikloy Temple, officers confirmed that it was Jirawut who had exited the vehicle. They are currently examining CCTV footage from the entrance and exit routes.

Finally, the latest reports indicate that Jirawut has contacted the police to surrender. As for Jakkree, the police believe he is still in the Phatthalung area and are intensifying their efforts to apprehend him.
